INVENTORY BUYING SPECIALIST

Job Description:

Lincoln Of Bloomington is looking to add to their vehicle inventory team on the buying side! This unique role works in the used vehicle buying vehicles off auctions. This is an in-dealership buyer role with Monday through Friday hours! What sets Lincoln of Bloomington apart from the competition? What You'll Do:

  • Source inventory opportunities for wholesale and retail while building relationships with potential clientele.
  • Auction, bid and purchase vehicles (within guideline)
  • Determine purchase pricing and set appointments for appraisers to visually inspect purchase.
  • Evaluate current processes to drive operational efficiencies.
  • Determine the path of the inventory to maximize profits.
  • Report directly to the Purchasing Manager regarding objectives, plans and analytics.
  • Must have the ability to retain crucial information regarding the retail/wholesale vehicle market.
  • Must be able to make detailed financial decisions within strict timeframes.
  • Proven organizational, time management and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrate ability to multi-task, handle frequent interruptions and shifting priorities.
  • Demonstrated stong and effective oral and written communication skills.

SERVICE

The U.S. will be short approximately 642,000 automotive, diesel, and collision technicians by 2024 if current trends hold, according to a new study by TechForce Foundation. ENTRY LEVEL/LUBE TECHNICIAN

The entry level position entails working on a variety of vehicles performing oil changes, tire rotations, tire mounting, tire balancing, light bulb replacement, air filter replacement, cabin filter replacement, basic fluid changes, and light shop maintenance. Automotive experience is not required, and we provide on the job training giving you a good foundation of automotive skills. The entry level position is a great way to get your foot in the door if you are interested in being a technician but did not have the opportunity for trade school training/education. This is a full-time position offering a great benefits package, paid vacation and advancement opportunity by providing ongoing manufacturer level training.

SEMI-SKILLED/LIGHT DUTY TECHNICIAN

The position requires working on a wide variety of vehicles for light repair, maintenance, and inspection. The scope of work will be light mechanical repairs (tire replacement, alignments, fluid and filter changes, manufacturer recalls, belts/hoses, brake replacement), accessory installation (running boards, tonneau covers, lift kits), and used vehicle reconditioning. Automotive experience is required for this position along with the required tools to perform the above jobs. We will provide manufacture specific training, but candidate must possess the basic automotive skills to perform the above work. Candidate must have an attention to detail, strong work ethic, and take pride in their work. This is a full-time position offering a great benefits package and advancement opportunity.

JOURNEYMAN TECHNICIAN

The Journeyman technician position is responsible for all aspects of automotive repair from electrical diagnosis to engine repair. Minimum of 3 years of experience is required along with skill set to perform all aspects of auto repair. Technician must be able to use service information to accurately diagnose and repair vehicle systems, document repair procedures, estimate repairs, and communicate with service advisors on vehicle needs. Dealer experience is not required for this position, we do provide manufacturer specific training to help candidate attain manufacturer certification. Full time position offering great benefits package, paid vacation, paid training, and more. Most of our journeyman technicians make more than $100,000 per year!
