Co-Sell FAQ

**For us to sell the vehicle you must have your vehicle inspected by our shop for us to handle the legal transaction. **

** Listing time: Launches of the Listing will go from Mondays to the following Sunday of each week.

  • Example: Check List must be fully completed before a vehicle goes online.
  • With a Consigning agreement date of 1/3/2025 (Friday), Service wouldn’t be able to process the inspection until next business day which would be 1/6/2025 (Monday as Service is not open Saturdays). After the Inspection is completed and everything has been discussed with you about what you are offering to fix or if you decide to sell as is we will get it slated for listing the following Monday (1/13/2025).

** Price Threshold: For clients who choose the Movement and Sell package it gives you the flexibility to tell us how much room we are allowed to negotiate to close a deal. Even though you may authorize a price reduction our goal is to hold the line.

Optional Add-ons: (Collected at Co-Sell Agreement)

  • Full Detail -$199
  • Auto-factory semi matching Touch Up paint- $50 (per 2 panels)
  • White Label - $75 per hour of driving (We pick up minimum 3 hours before and drop off up to 2 hours after business close (8p-10pm) (Must have 50% tank)

A couple things to know before we get started, if we decide to move forward, we will reach out via Phone Call and Email. This process is to ensure that you completely understand our process at Co-Sell by Lincoln of Bloomington.

How does it work in detail.

  1. Now that you have been approved to join our program, we will setup a conference to explain in detail what you are trying to accomplish. We will start with your situation; we are called Co-Sell for a reason. We want to have the passion, the stories about the vehicle, and building value when our entire team helps sell your vehicle.
  2. We must choose a Listing Package above, if the car will be detailed along with deciding after inspection is done what are we going to fix or not repair. Whatever you offer to the future buyer it comes out of the profit. If you decide to fix or do nothing at bare minimum our dealer standards that we do on every vehicle we sell is an oil change and cabin air filter for peace of mind which is $199 for manufacture recommended oil , engine air filter and washer fluid top. Keep in mind it is 100% your choice we will just advise based on market data, what clients look for and how or what we think your car needs to get sold.
  3. Next, we Co-llaborate on what price we should list your vehicle based on what our experts along with our Vehicle Management system that gives us data across 17 different networks to find and pinpoint the best strategy to make you the most money. Once we finalize price and description, we will collect the Co-Sell Fee of what was chosen and schedule everything to be handled like inspection, detail (If purchased), Photo and videos (if purchased) and confirmation of what days and times work for showings Tuesday through Saturday’s.
    a. If you choose our Co-Pilot package, we will hold the line firm with the client and inform them this is the one and only price. If they ask for $100, we will say no and hold our ground and build value based on our expectations from you.
    b. If you chose our Co- Movement package, we would move anywhere 1% to 7.5% based on whatever you approve. Ex: If you have us sell your vehicle for $20,000 and you tell us to hold as best as we can, but we have $1,100 to work with that will be 5.5% and that works within the realm of reality.
    c. If you chose our Co-Sell package, we would move up to 15% negotiation on what you approve. Example is above but up to 15% of sales price.
    d. WE WILL NOT NEGOTIATE NOT DOING SERVICE WORK.
  4. Collecting the Paperwork and Inspection is needed to list your vehicle we will need the following complete to be able to list your vehicle online:
    a. Signed Title (signed with us in person to verify all parties have signed)
    i. If you do not have a title, signed duplicate copy or title holding state confirmation of ownership.
    ii. Lien release or 10 days pay off request.
    1. Payoff will be run at 45 days of per diem to cover all packages. If there is any excess payoff money collected your lien holder will send it back to you.
    b. Inspection completed
    i. All work approved with be completed and deducted from total selling price.
    1. If the selling price is below the loan after the deductions the client must give us a deposit to go towards the difference of value, so it doesn’t stop the next client from purchasing.
    ii. Selling vehicle as is.
    1. Keep in mind this option is 100% okay, but we must disclose the inspection with the client along with letting them know they do not qualify for an extended service contract.
    iii. Partial Approval
    1. If the vehicle needs tires and brakes, we will inform you and you can make the decision to just do the tires on the vehicle. We will just have to disclose that to the client but that is totally fine.
  5. Listing Launch – Every Monday and runs to the following Sunday for 14 days, 21 days or 30 days.
    a. Once paperwork, processes, inspection, and media has been done on your vehicle we post the follow Monday. You will get an email with your package selected the listing/running dates of ads.
  6. Scheduling Showings
    a. Showings will be as early as 10am and as late as 7pm. You will have at least a 3-hour business window. (Business hours are 7am to 7pm)
    b. You must keep in mind we are handling everything from all calls, text, and emails about your vehicle to making sure you get the most money and the quickest turn time. We require that you have specific days and times a week you’re on call for our program unless you on the Co-Sell package then the vehicle will be here. Always keep in mind your vehicle is your responsibility, and we are not responsible for your vehicle as your personal insurance is. We will do everything with the utmost care as we will treat them like our vehicles, but we must make sure you understand.
    c. Co- Pilot must have the vehicle available 2 days (Sundays don’t count) a week.
    d. Co- Movement must have the vehicle available 3. (Sundays don’t count) a week.
    e. Co-Sell will have the vehicle here but as a friendly reminder your vehicle will have the utmost care, but your personal insurance is responsible while it’s on our lot.
  7. We have a team that has your back. We want your vehicle to sell for many reasons.
    a. We want to help you have a safe, easy, and fun experience!
    b. We get a future client by helping you sell your vehicle.
    c. We have a great chance to get a trade from the client purchasing your vehicle.
    d. You enjoy the experience so much you tell your Friends and Family!
  8. If your vehicle sells, great! If not, read below!
    a. Your vehicle sold that’s awesome! We finalize paperwork and the process with the client and give you an estimated closing date to get everything taken care of.
    b. Listing Weekly Recap via Phone & Email
    i. We will review the following per package:
    a. Pricing movement
    b. Buyer Engagement
    c. Buyer Feedback
    d. SRP (Searches for your type of vehicle)
    e. VDP (Buyers who clicked on your specific vehicle f. Clients who offer that we denied.
    g. Set new pricing or keep pricing, update description, and set for following listing week.
    1. Co-Pilot clients’ reviews will happen on Mondays.
    2. Co-Movement clients’ reviews will happen on Tuesdays.
    3. Co- Sell clients’ reviews will happen on Fridays.
  9. PayDay
    a. We will have payment available within 24 Office Business Hours (Office business hours are M-F 9a-4p)
    i. Once your deal has been fully funded and finalized by the dealer. It will be
    ii. Payment, if applicable can happen in 1 of 3 ways.
    1. Check mailed.
    2. Check for pick-up.
    3. ACH Wire. ($29 fee)
  10. After close of sale policy
    a. We reserve the right to contact in the future for any errors and omissions that come along with any legalizing paperwork.
